Toad Patrol

Toads on roads wildlife caution sign with a frog illustration.

In February 2026 we started a new Toad Patrol in Englefield under the FrogLife Toads on Roads project. The patrol covers Common Hill helping toads (and frogs and newts) cross this busy road from their hibernation habitats to their breeding ponds.

If you'd like to help us next year with our patrol then please Contact Us. We patrol evenings from dusk for about an hour and a half from middle of January to end of March depending on the weather (warm and damp are the preference for toads)
